In order to further encourage and guide our students to carry out extracurricular scientific and technological innovation activities, enhance the consciousness of scientific and technological innovation, cultivate the spirit of scientific and technological innovation, and improve the ability of scientific and technological innovation, the fourth Houde Cup in-school selection competition of School of Science, Shanghai University of Technology was successfully held at 15:00 on November 23. Attending and serving as judges of this defense were Li Yigui, Dean of the School of Science, Chen Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Science, Jiang Yanyan, Vice president and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Science, Wang Fengchao, Vice president of the School of Science, and Li LAN and Zhou Yan, full-time teachers.
Nearly 40 teams participated in the Houde Cup in-school selection competition. PPT presentation and judges' questions were adopted for defense selection. Contestants respectively market background, technical advantages, business model, social value and other aspects of the project were discussed in detail. The focus of each project is different, the service groups are diverse, and the participants can think and analyze the existing problems and formulate countermeasures, which reflects that the participants hope to achieve the realization of self-worth, improve people's well-being and promote social development through their own innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity. It also fully demonstrates the excellent atmosphere of science and innovation and the good style of the students.
In the question session of the judges, the judges asked the contestants questions from many aspects, such as the innovation, practicability, realizability, market development prospect and technical support of the project, and put forward personalized suggestions for modification. Among them, for some more mature projects expressed recognition and affirmation and put forward improvement suggestions; For some new projects which have taken shape and are still to be perfected, the paper points out their shortcomings and redeeming points and puts forward some suggestions for modification. As for the shortcomings pointed out by the judges and their suggestions for improvement, the contestants also said that they gained a lot.
The successful holding of the Houde Cup in-school selection competition provides excellent opportunities for teachers and students to exchange and study in close proximity, strengthens the good atmosphere of the school to promote the learning style with scientific innovation competition, and promotes the progress of students with scientific innovation competition, provides guidance for the following Challenge Cup competition, and points out the direction for the contestants to polish their own projects.
