On August 24, solstice, 27, the 2020 China Undergraduate Physics academic contest was held online in east China region. The event is hosted by the China Undergraduate Physics Tournament (CUPT) east China division committee and organized by the Physics society of zhejiang province and the department of Physics of zhejiang university. Thirty-five teams from 34 universities in east China participated in the competition. After two days of intense competition, our team won the second prize in the East China Competition area, among which Song Wenqi, a student of the Institute of Industry and Innovation, won the individual award of Best Critic.

In order to better prepare for this event during the epidemic period, the School of Science, School of Industry and Innovation, School of Materials, and the Physics Competition Club hosted the on-campus selection and the second Peilin Cup Physics Academic Competition for College Students with the support of the university's academic Affairs Office, The University Party Committee and the University Youth League Committee and other functional departments. School students during outbreak of the organizing committee to overcome scattered around the objective difficulties, to take home for students to buy online real-time experiment equipment, such as tutoring measures to help 15 team a total of 75 students successfully completed preliminary, and ultimately selected according to the preliminary performance seven students team on behalf of the school in the east China area.

During the game, to cheers of yao-qing huang teachers team, led by professor and students together to overcome the high temperature heat, with the help of the online platform for discussion meeting, training, and improve the competition subject, in the end our students with a solid theoretical knowledge and rigorous scientific attitude and ingenious experiments design won the approval of the participating teachers and students, and with excellent performance was awarded the second prize, won the honor for the school.

This competition not only fully trained the students' ability to analyze and solve problems, but also helped them improve their scientific research quality and expression ability, cultivate their sense of innovation and team spirit.
