The evolution result of 2018 National major scientific research instruments developing project(Free Application) was announced recently. Leaded by Ma Teng, researcher of Shenzhen Advanced Technology Research Institute, the project “Multimodal Fusion Acousto-Optic Endoscopic Imaging System for the Study of Cholangio Diseases” involving professor Dai Cuixia from the collaborative innovation platform for optoelectronic sensing detecting system of The School of Science was approved officially. The national expenditure of the project is 6.95 million Yuan and professor Dai Cuixia from The School of Science is responsible for 1.5 million Yuan of this. The project got the highest expenditure among all the government sponsored projects of The School of Science. The approval of the project marks a significant breakthrough in the field of optoelectronic detecting by the collaborative innovation platform for optoelectronic sensing detection of our university. The project intends to develop a high resolution, large view and strong specificity acoustic and light fusion endoscopic imaging instrument especially for cholangio. The instrument combines new ultrasound imaging technology with optical imaging technology, by which can we study the pancreatic cancer titled “The King of Cancers” all-around from many aspects including structure, function and molecular to explore the development mechanism and provide a bran new tool for realizing clinical early diagnosis and effective prognosis evaluation. The project will directly support the development of many disciplines such as optoelectronic detecting technology etc. and cultivation of young teachers and graduates.
