The 2025 Spring Meeting of the Shanghai Municipal Basic Physics Experiment Teaching Steering Committee was successfully held at our university

To promote the innovation of fundamental physics experimental teaching and further enhance the quality of talent cultivation, the "2025 Spring Conference of the Shanghai Municipal Committee for the Guidance of Fundamental Physics Experimental Teaching" was grandly held on January 5, 2025, at the Fengxian Campus of Shanghai Institute of Technology. Over 120 experts from more than 20 local and out-of-city universities, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Fudan University, were invited to participate. Vice President Mao Xiangdong, Director of the Academic Affairs Office Wang Yuhong, and the Party and administrative leadership of the School of Science attended the conference. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice Dean Wang Jun of the School of Science.



At the beginning of the meeting, Vice President Mao Xiangdong delivered a speech on behalf of the school. Vice President Mao Xiangdong first warmly welcomed the attendees and emphasized the key role of basic physics experimental teaching in talent cultivation based on personal growth experience. At the same time, he stated that the school will be committed to further strengthening the construction of physics experiment infrastructure, improving the experimental teaching level of the teaching staff, and actively promoting the reform of physics experiment teaching.

Yin Lifeng, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Fudan University, as the leader of the Teaching Guidance Committee, expressed his keen anticipation for this conference in his speech. He hopes to take this opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among universities, work together to improve the quality of talent cultivation, and promote the development of physics experimental teaching.

During the conference, attending experts conducted in-depth discussions on multiple topics, including "Physics Experiment Teaching System and Platform Empowered by Digital Intelligence", "Shanghai University Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation)", "University Physics Experiment Design and Innovation", "Competition Promotes Learning and Research Assistance", "New Paradigm of Digital AI Empowering University Physics Experiment Teaching", "Exploration of Innovative Talent Cultivation Mode in Physics Experiment under Short Semester System", "Experimental Teaching under the Background of AI for Education", "Design and Application of Education Model Intelligent Agents in Physics Experiment Teaching", "How to Quickly Build Innovative Experiments", "Undergraduate Experimental Teaching of Quantum Physics", "Physics Experiment Course from OBE Perspective", and "University Physics Experiment Teaching". Online reporting platform. These reports provide new perspectives and ideas for talent exploration and experimental teaching management.

The successful convening of this conference has provided a platform for in-depth communication and cooperation among experts and scholars engaged in basic physics experimental teaching. By sharing the latest teaching concepts, methods, and achievements, the reform and innovation of basic physics experimental teaching in Shanghai have been promoted. This conference has played a positive role in promoting the development of our university's Physics Experiment Center, helping it become a leading experimental teaching center among similar universities in Shanghai.
