In order to thoroughly implement the strategy of strengthening the University with Talents, according to the development needs of the 14th Five-Year Plan of the School of Science, we will further strengthen the talent introduction of the school of Science and the construction level of the teaching staff. From November 21 to 22, our school held the 2022 (Fifth) International Young Scholars Forum sub-Forum.

     On the evening of 21st, Tian Huaixiang, Director of Personnel Department, Li Yigui, Dean of the College of Science, Chen Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Science, and representatives of domestic and foreign scholars and young teachers who participated in the offline meeting were invited by the College of Science to attend the seminar.

      Tian Huaixiang introduced in detail the policies of talent introduction, talent training, professional title promotion and other aspects of our school, as well as the application conditions of talent projects in Shanghai.

      Li Yigui and Chen Lei introduced the development of the School of Science in detail, and answered the questions of each scholar with patience and detail. Xu Zongwei and Zhang Shengqiang, the representatives of young teachers of the School, gave a detailed introduction of their growth after joining the School of Science.

       The forum was a harmonious and open forum, and all the scholars were willing to join the School of Science.

       On the afternoon of 22nd, the sub-forum was presided over by Professor Li Yigui, dean of the School of Science. Members of the Party and government teams, responsible professors and department heads attended the forum. The conference adopted a combination of online and offline methods, attracting more than 20 young and middle school scholars with excellent academic background and academic potential from all over the world. The scholars graduated from well-known overseas universities such as the University of Manchester and the National University of Singapore in the UK, or from leading domestic universities and research institutes such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Science and Technology of China. Scholars introduced their studies, research work, research fields, and international academic frontier and hot issues through special reports and academic seminars. Li Yigui introduced in detail the policies and measures on talent introduction and training of the university. He warmly welcomed the young talents from home and abroad to gather in the School of Science to realize their dreams.

      The forum was fruitful. All the scholars who participated in the offline meeting signed a letter of intent on the spot, which further broadened the channels for introducing high-level talents of our college, expanded the international vision of the discipline and teaching reform of our college, improved the level of international communication of our college, and laid a good foundation for the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan for the future development of our college and the promotion of international education.
